During Fran’s 40-year legal career, she was often the only woman in the room. Given this, Fran set out to open a new kind of law firm where attorneys, especially women and diverse attorneys, could be happy and successful practicing law. In 2010, during a rough economic downturn, she launched Griesing Law with a three-person team and a handful of clients. 10 years later, the Firm has grown to a 15-person team with offices in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Jersey, New York and Ohio, handling 1k+ matters for 500+ clients across the country including Fortune 500 companies, privately-held businesses, non-profits, government entities, and individuals from various industries.
Fran is a valued, strategic advisor to top executives and general counsel at the region’s and country’s largest corporations and institutions, representing clients in business transactions, employment matters, litigation, and alternate dispute resolution matters. She’s been widely recognized for her expertise in commercial litigation and employment law by numerous legal rankings including Chambers and Partners USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, among others.
Fran is also the Co-Founder of Bossible, a marketing and business development consultancy, and GriesingMazzeo Leadership, a diversity and inclusion training, and professional coaching company. As a trailblazing entrepreneur, she was selected by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and Bank of America as the 2018 Woman Business Owner of the Year, by The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia as the 2018 Small Business Person of the Year and by Women's Business Enterprise Center East for their 2019 WBE Leadership Award.
Fran is tirelessly committed to the advancement of women and minorities as she believes that a more diverse workforce is a more successful one. She has been active in many professional groups and organizations that support that cause throughout her career. For her diversity and inclusion advocacy, Fran has been acknowledged by The Philadelphia Inquirer with the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award for the Law and the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award. She was also shortlisted as the 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Lawyer of the Year by Chambers Diversity & Inclusion Awards North America.
Fran is also a highly-sought speaker, writer and authority in the legal and entrepreneurial communities, covering topics related to alternative dispute resolution, litigation, ethics, negotiation, law firm management, business leadership and issues impacting women and diverse professionals.
